Throughout my life, whenever there was a homecoming or family birthday, for me, it became a good excuse for a party. Now as a professional event planner, I get that same thrill every time I help my clients celebrate the milestones and people who are important to them.

I fell in love with wedding planning at age 16 from the bench of a church piano. I watched and heard how every song I played influenced the tenor and emotion of a wedding ceremony, how each note creates the perfect melody, every design detail affects the personality and ambiance of this special day. Though my sight line has changed as a planner, I still listen for those first few bars of music and look for the excitement painted on the bride’s face as she takes her first steps down the aisle.

Jason is Director of Donor Relations for the Museum of Science, creating special events and experiences for the Boston philanthropic community.
